NiP to grand final over GODSENT

Ninjas in Pyjamas beat their fellow countrymen GODSENT 2-1 to advance to the grand final in Malmö (16-14 on Cobblestone, 16-19 on Train and 16-10 on Mirage).
The second semi-final at DreamHack Masters Malmö featured two Swedish teams going up against one another: Ninjas in Pyjamas and GODSENT. In their quarter-final matches GODSENT managed to defeat MOUZ while Ninjas in Pyjamas eliminated their long-time rival Virtus.pro.
The first map was Ninjas in Pyjamas's pick and the Ninjas started on the T-side. GODSENT stacked the A-site in the pistol round and their strategy worked out as Ninjas in Pyjamas ran into it. The first weapon round also went the way of GODSENT and they lead 4-0 to kick off the series.
A close affair in the sixth round saw Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson clutching it for his team with a 1v1, extending the lead to 6-0. Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund secured his team's first round with two opening-kills and although Ninjas in Pyjamas lost the following round, GeT_RiGhT showed up once again, this time with three entry-kills (7-2).
Xizt was the man of the first map
Ninjas in Pyjamas's 5v3 advantage in the 12th round was crushed by Lekr0 who got a quad-kill and GODSENT reached to eight round (8-5). Despite a 7-1 start GODSENT only lead 8-7 at halftime.
GODSENT had a 5v2 advantage in the second half pistol round but the bomb carrier died in a miserable position, dropping the bomb and Richard "Xizt" Landström & Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi duo cleaned up the 2v5 (8-8). GODSENT took control of the steering wheel in the weapon round and went on to take back the lead with three rounds in a row (11-10).
After trailing 14-11 Ninjas in Pyjamas tied it at 14-14 and made it anyone's game. Xizt clutched a 1v2 to earn the map point for his team and the Ninjas managed to close it out 16-14.
The Swedish teams moved on to Train next and the T-sided Ninjas in Pyjamas were victorious in the pistol round. The Ninjas secured the first weapon round as well and acquired a 6-0 lead afterwards. GODSENT won six rounds of their own and tied it with their double AWP setup. Simon "twist" Eliasson's quad-kill gave the lead to his team and they went on to finish the half 8-7 in front.

Just like in the first map, the second half developed in favor of Ninjas in Pyjamas who won the first five rounds and GODSENT called a timeout to sort things out. After a round of eco, GODSENT managed to get their ninth round as they trailed Ninjas in Pyjamas's 13. Ninjas in Pyjamas had a 14-11 score advantage but GODSENT recovered again to tie it at 14-14 and the Ninjas took a timeout. GODSENT had the chance to close it out but the Ninjas won a mixed buy, taking it to overtime.
GODSENT won a 2v4 to start the overtime and followed it up with a 3v5 and they led 17-16 after the first half of overtime. After a really close round, GODSENT gained a match point and they were able to close it out 19-16.
To decide it all, the Swedes went to Mirage. The early control of the map was obtained by GODSENT who were on the CT-side as they won the pistol round and led 7-2 when the end of the half was nearing. Markus "pronax" Wallsten got a quad-kill and clutched it in a 1v1 against GeT_RiGhT and GODSENT gained full control (8-2).
Ninjas in Pyjamas came back into it with a force buy victory to make it 9-3 and broke GODSENT's economy. Adam "friberg" Friberg & co. salvaged the situation and trailed 9-6 at halftime thanks to GeT_RiGhT's 1v2 clutch in the last round.
Ninjas in Pyjamas's four round streak continued in the second half as the Ninjas won the first six rounds of the second half and had a three point lead (12-9). NiP won the last 14 rounds out of 15 on Mirage to close out the series 2-1 and will go on to face Natus Vincere in the grand final.
